Guest guest
I tried making seitan last night using a box of vital wheat gluten. It was very easy to make, but didn't taste good at all. I used veggie broth with Braggs in it, but very little of the flavour seemed to stay in the seitan. My Vegas cookbooks seem to use it all the time, but I can't figure out how to make mine taste or feel like something I would want to try again. Anyone have success with seitan? Guest guest
Sorry for the blank post. Also, that's Vegan, not Vegas! Linda
Guest guest
I made it once. My meat-eating brother was living with me too. It ended up tasting pretty good. I just used it to shred for bbq sandwiches. I'll find the recipe and send it in. It was super easy, just sat in the crockpot all day and made the house smell really good! peace nikki lindiny [lindiny]Monday, February 23, 2004 10:13 AMvegetarianslimming Subject: seitan suggestions?I tried making seitan last night using a box of vital wheat gluten.
