chickpeas substitute

I'm such a chickpea head...I have to tell myself " now you had those

yesterday give yourself some variety " .

 

I have a hummus recipe that calls for navy beans instead of

chickpeas. If I find it, I'll post to the group. However, I don't

know how well navy beans would sub for chickpeas in most other

dishes..since they're harder and have more texture than navy beans.

 

Pat, nice to have you back!! I hope you will fall completely in love

with your new city. I've heard Montreal is just beautiful.

i am a chick pea head too...what a good way of putting it.......i lurve humous mmmmm......it willsurely be my downfall, but seriously i have mild diabetes and i find the slow sugar release of chick peas just right,
