Guest guest
Hello, Carol, and welcome to Vegetarian Slimming ;=) We can't lose the weight for you (worse luck!) but we can support you while you do it. Lots of people here have great ideas for things to eat while you're on a weight loss diet, and you'll already know, as a vegan, that you don't need animal me*t to be on a 'diet' *lol* I guess the main problem with many commercial 'diets' out there is that they over-emphasize protein. We all manage to do just fine without that hang up. However, remember that soy products such as tofu and tempeh are great for protein and can be sauced, marinated, baked, etc., in many ways without using much (or indeed any, if you prefer) oil/fat. It's best to stay away from the already made-up, ready to heat/eat, veggie foods in the supermarkets, imo, but that is something you need to decide for yourself. Have a look around the webpage, check out the recipes, and post when you like ;=) We're an easy going and informal bunch here and someone is usually around to answer questions and give advice. Best, Pat ;=) (Moderator) -- SANTBROWN townhounds/ vegetarianslimming/ HOMEPAGE: http://www.angelfire.com/art/pendragon/ ---------- * " There are too many idiots in this world.
