Guest guest
Hi Nikki & Viv, We cook for our dogs too (we feed them a mix of half home cooked food, & half kibble...a brand that has no artificial preservatives & has " human grade " meat in it). With the food that we cook for them, we do use free range meat, and also eggs from chickens who are raised free range. I do this both for ethical reasons and for health reasons. Our older dog has an autoimmune disorder and when we switched from typical dog foods (Science Diet, Iams/Eukaneuba) to foods without artificial additives/preservatives it made a huge difference in his health. I can't imagine all the hormones & antibiotics in regular grocery store meat doing him any good, so we have opted to buy free range meats for the " boys " as well.
