I was a little bummed because the bread didn't rise as well as I had thought it should, but it has a great taste.

Anyway, I'm really impressed by the weightloss managed. Wow! I did the classic gain a million pounds during pregnancy one, put on more with the next, and start the last mega heavy. It has taken me the last two years, but I am down to 11 lbs from my goal. My goal is the top end of my weight range. I'm not super tall, but I am broad and even my doctor agrees that top end is fine for me. I also have some problems with my blood sugars so I take medication to control that.

The irony is the medicine forces me to have to eat -- and I've had to give up the fad diet merry go round that kept me miserable. Since I've begun to relearn to eat healthier meals, I'm actually losing without the horrid side effects I think of with a diet.

I may be the odd one out -- but I do believe we need protein and fats. I don't believe they have to come from animal flesh, but I do believe we need them. We're complex creations and I think balance on most things is probably the key.

I'm off for dinner -- fresh rolls and veggie soup compliments of the crock pot.

Home baked is best ;=) Hey, gaining all that weight and then finally

finally finally managing to lose it is a real triumph! And now you are

so close to your goal. Slowly and methodically is the way for you, I'd

think ;=) That way it won't bounce back. Tough about your meds - but

you're doing well despite that problem, right? How are you re your BMI

(do you even *do* BMI??). I haven't a clue how to calculate it, but I

once found a formula for it that even I could manage. I've a way to go

yet. Anyone else?

It's still colder than, well, cold here. Time for making hot soup!

Pat ;=)
