Guest guest
My husband and two of my children are very particular about what goes into their mouths, while my other two children seem to enjoy all of nature's bounty in many different forms. I have done alot of reading on this, and having an adult particular eater in the house has helped my understanding. I truly believe some foods taste different to some people and that texture plays a big part of it as well. Hubby won't eat banana - too mushy - but loves banana bread. All of us love apples but dd won't touch applesauce or pie, says it's gritty. Hubby also can't stand celery - a vegetable I consider relatively bland - but he can taste it regardless of how I hide it. Imagine cooking without celery - ever! It's all a matter of adaptation and trying not to become too frustrated about it. Everyone has their unique personality quirks - in my family food is a big one. It can be hard sometimes when you feel responsible for so much of the cooking to try and accomodate everyones tastes, sometimes at the expense of your own.
