Guest guest
I would love to get her to eat whole grain sweet breads. She won't eat banana nut breads or apple cinnamon. She is such a unique person. She loves grapes, but won't eat raisins. Loves great northern beans and all kinds of peas, but won't eat lima beans. Refuses to eat anything that has touched anything else...occasionally she'll eat fried rice dishes, but she picks out parts and she'll eat spaghetti, but often wants the ingredients separated...lol. I could go on forever with her quirks...but I feel guilty because I have what my extended family sees as mine, too. :-) Like refusing to eat fast food after reading Fast Food Nation and things like (even when I wasn't a vegetarian) refusing hot dogs after reading about their content. I've heard all the lectures about me making her that way, but I can honestly say -- she has been a picky eater since she began eating. I'm a little bummed about my bread today. It didn't rise as well as I had hoped. I'll try again though and see what I can do to it. Shara
Guest guest
Hi Shara ;=) Yup, we can all be individualistic when it comes to eating - most of our families think our vegetarian or vegan diets are downright peculiar if not offensive *lol* However, perhaps in time your daughter will come to liking some of the foods you put in front of her if you don't make too big a deal of it. But one does worry, right? Too bad about the bread - some days are just like that ;=( Bet you all eat it up in short order, though, no matter how you feel it should have been better! ;=) Best, Pat -- SANTBROWN townhounds/ vegetarianslimming/ HOMEPAGE: http://www.angelfire.com/art/pendragon/ ---------- * " There are too many idiots in this world.
