Guest guest
Hi everyone, thanks for the well wishes Pat! Back to my usual self, kind of! So here's a few more diet tips: * Eat every 3-4 hours because your body needs a constant supply of fuel. This will stop you feeling lethargic and can help prevent bingeing * Have porridge for breakfast and drink your way through a big bottle of water everyday * Don't step on the scales too often. The feel good factor of looser clothes is a much better motivator than numbers on a dial. * Be realistic about your goals. If you do overindulge, forgive yourself and get back on track. If you allow yourself to feel like a failure (which you're not), you're more likely to keep on eating and blow it again. * Reward yourself for weight losses with new clothes or make up, anything but food! * Get out there and do some fat burning exercise. You aren't going to lose weight sitting around. Go cycling, walking, running - anything as long as you're working hard enough. You should be breathless but still able to speak. * If you do crave chocolate, satisfy the urge with a little dark, bitter European chocolate. After a while normal chocolate will taste so sweet that you won't be able to eat more than a square of it. * Don't ban anything from your diet or you'll feel you are depriving yourself. * Walk briskly for 15-30 minutes each day to counter insulin resistance, enhance energy and maintain good emotional balance. I'm off now, so much to do, hope everyone is having a nice evening, Laura
