Guest guest
Hi to Judy and Laura, This is a great list - you'll have a good time here and may even lose a little weight if that's what you want to do ;=) Certainly I have dropped ten pounds without trying very hard at all - since the week after New Year. These people must be doing something right ;=) Just so you know, I live in London, Ontario, with my husband - both veggie for something like twenty years - and our two little hounds and their cat. Right now I am avoiding the ovo-lacto part of my veggie identity - and that's probably why the weight is disappearing for me. Look forward to chatting with you. best, pat -- SANTBROWN townhounds/ http://www.angelfire.com/art/pendragon/ ---------- * " Until he extends the circle of compassion to all living things, man will not himself find peace. Guest guest
welcome to Judy, Laura and other new members, I hope that you find the group useful and that you enjoy it here! things are gonna get confusing with all the Lauras we have now! Any ideas of how we could identify ourselves? I have to say, my diet has been non existent recently! I've not been well first with concussion and now my back injury. I've put on the half stone i lost before christmas. But as i've recently become vegan i feel that i'll probably lose it again if i'm careful. It makes it so much easier to avoid impulse eating, especially when i'm out as i can't just grab a chocolate bar or something. This isn't the reason that i'm vegan but being able to control my eating better is a bonus. Having said all this, last night i made a vegan chocolate cake, which, i know, is very bad, but i wanted to prove to myself (and my boyfriend) that i could still bake cakes etc without dairy and they would taste just as good. As it happens the cake was great (thank you for the recipe Jon) and i feel relieved that it worked. So now i can get back to eating healthily again. How is everyone else doing? Guest guest
Hi Laura: I've always said there exists a sort of camaraderie amongst "Laura's" -- guess the several Laura's in this group is another example. I tried to edit my membership so my name would appear "Laura Laura Laura" (since I've heard THAT all my life anyway)--but realized I could not edit my membership. Perhaps you could? Sorry to hear about your back and concussion--hope everything is healing well. >>>>>How is everyone else doing? I'm cranking away as I train for several long distance races that are rapidly coming up--the first "big" one being the La Jolla Half Marathon in San Diego (April), Malibu Creek Trail 14-Mile Challenge (May), Camp Pendleton Mud Runs (June), possibly a duathlon in July, and (One of the Biggies) The Santa Barbara 9-Trails 35 Mile Trail Run in November. Every year, I find it so ironic that I GAIN weight when I train instead of lose! I don't weigh myself anymore, but I know I've put on at least 5 lbs in the past month--I just can't believe it's really all muscle... ~Laura Laura Laura********************* If it's meant to be, It will be.
