Guest guest Posted February 24, 2003 Report Share Posted February 24, 2003 Cashew Cheese 1 c water 1 c cashews, raw 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 c oil 1/3 c lemon jiuce 4 oz pimientos 1 tsp oinion powder 1 tsp garlic powder 3 tsp Brewer's yeast 1 lb tofu, drained Place water, cashews, and salt in blender. Whiz thoroughly. While blending, slowly add oil until mixture thickens. Add lemon juice, pimiento, and other seasonings and whiz again. Crumble tofu into bowl, pour in the cashew cheese mixture and stir well. (page 146, "Cooking by the book," Marcella Lynch, 1994) Earthy Lady [earthylady_39] Interested!!
