Guest guest
Hi everyone! Just realized that I have been on digest but haven't had a post in eons. Has been doing its thing again, or has everyone gone home, wherever that is ;=) I am slimming but sloooooowly. After some five and a half weeks of semi-serious slimming (the on again off again kinda thing, because there were a few restaurant meals in there to entertain :=( and they are never as slimming as the ones at home), I find I have lost something like three to three and a half kilos - around half a stone. Not sensational, but it does seem to be staying off, going down ever so gradually. How's everyone else coming with this ongoing battle? This is a great group - but I miss hearing from you. This is a message sort of in lieu of a 'test' message - if I get it back, then I know that is not being -ish and that people are just busy. best, pat -- SANTBROWN townhounds/ http://www.angelfire.com/art/pendragon/ ---------- * " Until he extends the circle of compassion to all living things, man will not himself find peace. Guest guest
Oh Susan - baaaad luck. But hang in there. The first two or three weeks I was dieting I lost something like two pounds (can't quite remember) and then, unaccountably, gained them back. And I was hungry. And I was upset. Then one morning I woke up and weighed myself and they were gone. They did stay gone, bless the little varmints, or I'd have had words to say to them after having nurtured them for so long - grateless beasts they would have been to have come back to plague me after all I'd done to set them up on their own, etc etc etc. I figure if you're on 1200 calories a day you *have* to lose weight - just that right now it's early days and the unwanted pounds have recruited your metabolism (which you thought oughta be on *your* side, right?) and a whole buncha fluid (well, ya gotta drink, right, but what does it do but settle in and weigh a lot and . . .) to start working against you. It'll drop off in time - gotta do that. Why not give it a bit of a shock at the weekend by splitting a major meal over two meals (and therefore, in effect, skipping one)? Or have you tried that? Trouble is, you are really going to be hungry then, but sometimes it's worth it just for once just to see a little bit lower on the scale! Okay okay, all the rest of you - I know the last coupla sentences or so were poor nutritional advice, but I bet you guys have done that once in a while ;=) And I bet Susan has too. Anyway, hang in there was all I was really meaning to say. You're not alone here - How about the rest of the gang? best, pat -- SANTBROWN townhounds/ http://www.angelfire.com/art/pendragon/ ---------- * " Until he extends the circle of compassion to all living things, man will not himself find peace.
