Guest guest
Let's start by saying that I am an ovo-lacto vegetarian - but rarely eat either eggs or dairy. As a result I do take a vitamin supplement for B12 - and anything else that just might be missing, 'just in case', although I haven't always done this and have suffered no ill effects from the omission - well, that I know of ;=). I understand, however, that B12 is in brewers yeast, sea vegetables, and tempeh. Can anyone tell me whether or not it would be practical to use these foods as a source of B12? How much would one need to eat to meet the RDI? (Okay, if you tell me ten pounds of seaweed and a bucket of tempeh I might reconsider such natural means. Brewers yeast I take daily - but only about two tbsp., except for what I bake into my bread.) Many thanks if anyone can help ;=) best, pat -- PAT (In London, Ontario) Email List: townhounds- (townhounds/) Personal Email: SANTBROWN Personal Webpage: http://www.angelfire.com/art/pendragon/ ---------- * " Until he extends the circle of compassion to all living things, man will not himself find peace.
