Guest guest
Thank you Dave for your kind and considerate post! I understand what you are saying. In fact, my life is in a great transition right now and I know that many new opportunities will be coming, still, saying goodbye to the familiar and safe can be difficult. I have to admit that I have been unhappy for a long time now....food has been a fickle friend in all of this.....food has been used by me for spite, for pleasure, to stuff down pain and anger. I have gained 70 pounds since being married. I take responsibility for my choices and will use this knowledge to make better choices in the future. That is the beauty of life...we CAN learn! Another great thing is that when I walk through that door, I come bearing gifts for my new friends!! BB. Laura H.

In my opinion, the purpose of such groups is to support its members. Here's the dilemma we all face. None of us know exactly how to offer you support unless you ask for what you are needing. BTW, I have recently dealt with the emotional upheaval and separation of divorce after a 14 yr marriage/relationship. I can either offer feedback or a sympathetic ear **on-list** or **off-list**. >>...I take responsibility for my choices and will use this knowledge to make better choices in the future. Being able to face a group of strangers and emote as you did publicly is a gift few have to share. My conclusion is that " you're going to be just fine " with your new life. >>...Another great thing is that when I walk through that door, I come bearing gifts for my new friends!!<< Oh, goodie!! My favorite color is blue. :-) Dave
