Guest guest
Ok, I need some help. I keep reading about how great grilled haloumi cheese is, but I can't find an actual recipe. Has anyone done it and is able to tell me what to look for? Do I use a grate, skewers, just put it on my grill grate? JJ
Guest guest
G'day, >Ok, I need some help. I keep reading about how great grilled haloumi >cheese is, but I can't find an actual recipe. Well, first off I am wondering if you're in North America and the recipes you've seen have been British or other non-American recipes. In this case, what we call " grilled " you call " broiled " . That is one way to cook the haloumi. I usually pan-fry it. It's very nice (salty!), but you've got to eat it fairly quickly after cooking or it goes hard and rubbery as it cools. It has a fairly weird texture " raw " as it is. I think you can also throw cubes of it into something warm like pasta with a sauce.
