Basic Herb Marinade and Salad Dressing

4 cloves garlic -- minced

1/4 cup chopped fresh basil

2 tablespoons chopped fresh oregano or 2 tsp. dried

2 tablespoons red wine vinegar

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

 

In a small bowl, combine the garlic, basil, oregano, vinegar, salt, and pepper.

Slowly pour in the olive oil and whisk constantly until the oil is emulsified.

 

Use immediately or store airtight in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
