Grandma's Cabbage Soup

2 cups shredded cabbage

2/3 cup uncooked instant rice

1 14.5 oz can vegetable broth

2 1/2 cups hot water

1 8 oz can Hunt's tomato sauce

1/2 cup shredded carrots

1/2 cup finely chopped onion

1 16 oz can diced tomatoes -- undrained

1 tablespoon Splenda or Sugar Twin

1 teaspoon dried dill weed

1/8 teaspoon black pepper

 

Spray a slow cooker container with butter-flavored cooking spray. In prepared

container, combine cabbage, uncooked rice, broth, water, and tomato sauce. Stir

in carrots in onions. Add undrained tomatoes, Splenda, dill weed, and black

pepper. Mix well to combine. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours. Mix well

before serving.
