Guest guest Posted May 8, 2001 Report Share Posted May 8, 2001 * Exported from MasterCook Mac * PITA CHIPS Recipe By : Simply Vegan, Debra Wasserman Serving Size : 8 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Breads Snacks Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 3 pita breads 2 teaspoons oil 1 teaspoon paprika 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon oregano 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional) Split pita breads in half. Cut each half into several 2-inch size triangles. Place the cut bread on a lightly oiled cookie sheet. Sprinkle bread with half the oil, and half the paprika, garlic powder, oregano, and if you prefer, salt. Place the bread under a broiler until it begins to brown. Turn the bread over and sprinkle with remaining oil and spices. Place the bread back under the broiler for 2 minutes longer. Remove the chips. Once the chips cool they will be crisp and delicious. NOTE: I recommend making a larger mix and keeping it in a salt shaker.
