Sweet Onion Salad

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1 clove garlic -- mashed

2 tablespoons chopped basil

1/4 teaspoon dry mustard

2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

1 Pinch sugar

1 Pinch salt

Freshly ground black pepper to taste

3 small sweet onions -- sliced in rounds

4 medium tomatoes -- cut in wedges

 

Mix garlic, basil, mustard, vinegar, olive oil, sugar, salt, and pepper

thoroughly. Toss with onions and tomatoes. Let stand at room temperature for 30

minutes before serving.
