Guest guest Posted May 3, 2001 Report Share Posted May 3, 2001 * Exported from MasterCook * Teriyaki Sauce Recipe By :Totally Dairy-Free Cooking - Louis Lanza Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 6 tablespoons tamari soy sauce 6 tablespoons fresh lime juice (from 4 to 6 limes), or Japanese ponzu sauce 1/2 cup fruit juice concentrate, apple or white grape 1 1/2 tablespoons arrowroot In a small saucepan, bring 1 1/4 cups water, the tamari, and lime juice to a boil. While the sauce is boiling, add the fruit juice concentrate, reduce the heat, and simmer 3 minutes. In a small bowl, mix together the arrowroot with 2 tablespoons water. Add this to the simmering sauce and cook, stirrinf, for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat, cool and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Description: " This is an excellent fat-free sauce. It's perfect for a quick glaze on broiled tofu or tempeh.
