Guest guest Posted May 2, 2001 Report Share Posted May 2, 2001 Ever wonder what more we can do with a can of chiles? * Exported from MasterCook * Chili Poblano Cream Soup by Herdez Recipe By :Herdez Products Serving Size : 8 Preparation Time :0:30 Categories : Popular Soups Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 3 ounces butter 1 onion -- sliced 1 26-oz can HERDEZ Poblano peppers 2 cups chicken stock 1 tablespoon cilantro 1 cup cream 8 ounces monterey jack cheese -- cubed 3 corn tortillas -- for totopos Melt the butter and fry the onion; add the poblano chili and fry a little. Leave it to cool and blend with the chicken stock and cilantro. Heat it and season with garlic salt and flavoring Add the cream and serve very hot. Serve with cheese and small totopos. TOTOPOS: Fried Tortilla Triangles - cut tortillas in squares then into triangles. Fry. Drain. Serve while still warm. Description: " Easy when using peppers from a can.
