Guest guest Posted May 2, 2001 Report Share Posted May 2, 2001 * Exported from MasterCook * Spanakopitas Recipe By : Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Morningstar Farms Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1/2 pound filo dough 1 10 oz package frozen chopped spinach -- thawed and squeezed dry 1 cup Morningstar Farms® Sausage Style Recipe Crumbles 4 scallions -- including greens 1 teaspoon fresh chopped jalapeno peppers 1/2 teaspoon dill 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese 1/4 pound neufchatel cream cheese 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese 1 4 oz carton Morningstar Farms® Better'n Eggs -- thawed 1/2 cup margarine -- melted Unwrap the filo dough, cut in half cross-wise and cover with damp towel. Return one half to the freezer. In a large bowl, combine spinach, Sausage Style Recipe Crumbles, jalapenos, dill, feta cheese, cream cheese, Parmesan cheese and MORNINGSTAR FARMS BETTER'N EGGS. Mix thoroughly. Carefully roll out the filo dough. Brush with melted margarine. Cut lengthwise. Place about 2 teaspoons of the Recipe Crumbles mixture on the bottom of one of the strips of dough. Fold the dough over the mixture to form a triangle. Continue to flip the triangle up the length of the dough to make Spanakopitas. Repeat until all the Spanakopitas are formed. Arrange the Spanakopitas about one-inch apart on a foil-lined baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray. Brush Spanakopitas with melted margarine and bake at 350º F for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
