Serving Size : 12 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Vegan Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 pound black beans, or beans similar in size and consistency, such as dark red kidneys -- soaked overnight, drained 1 15-oz can whole kernel corn 8 ounces barbecue sauce -- any flavor, up to 10 oz 1 1/2 cups dry bread crumbs Put all ingredients into a blender until beans are crushed and ingredients well mixed. Start with smallest amounts of BBQ sauce and breadcrumbs; adjust amounts if mix is too dry or wet. Pat into burgers. Broil for 5 minutes per side OR fry in a small amount of oil for 3 minutes per side. Burgers stay together better if broiled. Mix can also be made into a loaf. Mix makes 12 medium to large burgers, 2 medium loaves. or 10 " meat " balls (use a cupcake tin!)
