Kathleen * Exported from MasterCook * Boulettes (Spaghetti Balls) Recipe By : The High Road to Health by Wagner and Spade, page 152 Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Main Dishes, Vegetarian Soyfoods Vegetables Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 recipe Pecan Herb Loaf (see separate recipe) omitting the sauce Tomato Sauce (see separate recipe) Makes about 20 In France meatballs are called boulettes and they contain all sorts of ingredients, not just meat. Here's our version. 1. Follow instructions 1 through 5 for Pecan Herb Loaf. 2. Roll the mixture into balls. 3. Bake at 350F in an oiled baking dish for 35 minutes or until the boulettes are firm and browned. Serve on pasta and cover with Tomato Sauce. VARIATIONS. For a Mediterranean flavor, place a pitted Greek olive in the center of each ball and bake as directed. For a South Seas flavor, place a small chunk of ripe pineapple in the center of each ball, bake, and serve with sweet and sour sauce.
