Guest guest
Here's something I've often wondered about... Are there any vegans on this list (non-Sephardic,) who observe all the dietary laws for Passover? I've often thought that since things like soy products, beans and grains are prohibited, the only real protein sources available during Passover are dairy products and eggs. (Yes, I know that there is some protein in vegetables too, but I'm talking about a more significant source.) Since vegans don't eat those, can they really get through the whole 9 days (I think the eve of Passover has to count since you can't eat any leavened products or any of the other forbidden items after about 10:00AM.) What is there to eat besides vegatables, fruit and matzah? This is definitely one of the things that stands in the way of my becoming a vegan, so I wondered how others handle this.
