Guest guest Posted April 1, 2001 Report Share Posted April 1, 2001 * Exported from MasterCook * Oriental Soup (High Road to Health) Recipe By :Lindsay Wagner and Ariane Spade Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Soups Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 6 cups water 2 scallions 4 thin slices fresh ginger 6 mushrooms -- sliced 8 snow pea pod, fresh -- strings removed 2 tablespoons dry sherry 2 tablespoons soy sauce dash pepper 2 tablespoons light miso 1. Bring the water to a boil. Add scallions and ginger. Simmer covered for 20 minutes. 2. Add the mushrooms, peas, sherry, soy sauce and pepper to this broth and cook 10 minutes more. 3. Remove from heat. Dissolve the miso in 2 tablespoons of the broth and stir it into the soup. Serve at once.
