The eggs are cooked or baked for many hours, turning the white a pale brown and giving the entire egg a rather creamy texture. Place as many eggs as needed in a single layer in a large pot and cover with at least 3 times their volume in water. Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer at the lowest possible heat for 8 hours. Or, you may place the pot in a 200 degree oven overnight. Cool, then peel and arrange on a platter to serve.
