Salted Eggs

6 hard-boiled eggs -- chopped

2 scallions -- minced

salt -- to taste

 

8 to 10 servings

 

Another important symbolic dish in the Seder, eggs represent the eternal

memory of the loss of the Holy Temple, and the salt water represents the

tears shed by the Jewish people.

 

Combine the ingredients with 6 cups of water in a serving container. Cover

and refrigerate until needed. Serve each guest a small portion in a small,

shallow bowl.
