Guest guest Posted March 28, 2001 Report Share Posted March 28, 2001 * Exported from MasterCook * Black-Eyed Pea-Habanero Dip Recipe By : Serving Size : 8 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 11 oz package Frieda's black-eyed peas -- cooked according to package directions, drained 1/3 cup Frieda's dried tomatoes -- rehydrated according to package directions, chopped 1/3 cup red or green bell pepper -- chopped 1/4 cup red onion -- minced 1 clove Frieda's elephant garlic -- peeled and chopped 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro -- minced 1 Frieda's dried habanero chile -- reconstituted according to package directions, seeded & finely chopped fresh cilantro -- chopped tomato, or red onion for garnish In blender container or food processor bowl, place all ingredients. Cover and process until smooth. Garnish as desired. Serve with tortilla chips, jicama, or other sliced fresh vegetables.
