Sweet & Sour Lentils

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

2 1/2 cups water with Veg. Boullion Cubes

1 bay leaf

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup lentils

1 garlic clove, diced

2 tablespoons vinegar

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1/2 cup onion, chopped

1/2 teaspoon basil or oregano

dash nutmeg

 

Heat water with bouillon to boiling. Add lentils. Lower heat and simmer 30

minutes. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer another 30 minutes. Serve with

rice.
