Basil Red Pepper Sauce

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1 red bell pepper -- coarsely chopped

2 tablespoons tahini or cashew butter

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1/2 teaspoon dried basil

pinch cayenne pepper

pinch salt

1/4 cup water -- or as needed

 

Combine all the ingredients in a blender, and process until smooth and creamy,

using just enough water to make a thick but pourable sauce.
