Winter Fruits With Balsamic Vinaigrette

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1/4 cup salad oil

1/4 cup orange juice

3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

1 tablespoon honey

1/8 teaspoon cracked black pepper

2 medium pink grapefruits

1 orange

2 medium pears -- cored and cut into wedges

2 teaspoons lemon juice

1 head red and/or green leaf lettuce

1 cup seedless grapes

 

Combine salad oil, OJ, vinegar, honey adn pepper. Blend until combined. Cover

and chill until serving time.

 

Peel grapefruit and orange, removing as much of the white membrane as possible.

Section grapefruit and cut the orange crosswise into 8 slices. Brush the pear

wedges with lemon juice.

 

Cover a large platter with lettuce leaves. Arrange grapefruit sections, orange

slices, pear wedges and grapes atop the lettuce. Cover the platter with plastic

and chill for up to 4 hours. Before serving, drizzle with the dressing.
