Judy has already posted a number of recipes from this book and Marie Oser's

previous book, so I did not duplicate her efforts.

 

Here's the first one I have (it goes with some of the dips I'll be posting):

Savory Pita Crisps

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

olive oil cooking spray

12 Sahara brand whole wheat pita pockets

1 tablespoon granulated garlic

1 tablespoon Gomasio

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon lemon pepper

1 tablespoon dried chives

 

Preheat oven to 400ºF. Line a baking pan with foil and spray foil with oil.

Cut pita pockets into eighths and place on prepared pan. In a small bowl, mix

the spices together and sprinkle over prepared pitas. Lightly spray top side of

pita and sprinkle with spice mixture. Bake 10 minutes or until lightly browned.

Set aside to cool.

 

VARIATION: Garlic & Chive Pita Crisps:

12 Sahara brand whole wheat pita pockets

2 tablespoons granulated garlic

2 tablespoons dried chives
