Ellen * Exported from MasterCook Mac * Pita Toasts Recipe By : The Modern Vegetarian Kitchen, Peter Berley p122 Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Breads: Quick & Muffins Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 4 pita bread rounds 4 tablespoons olive oil 1 crushed garlic clove salt and pepper Preheat the oven to 350F. Quarter 4 pita pockets and split in half. Arrange the pita quarters on a baking sheet. In a small bowl, mix together 4 tablespoons olive oil and 1 crushed garlic clove. Brush the oil over the top of each pita. Sprinkle the pita wedges with sea salt and freshly milled black pepper. Bake for 20 minutes or until crisp.
