Garlic and Ginger Fried Rice

 

Recipe By :Maureen Keane and Daniella Chace 1997

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

2 tablespoons sesame oil

1/4 teaspoon hot chile oil

3 cloves garlic -- chopped

1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh ginger root

1 cup firm tofu -- sliced in thin strips

3 cups cooked brown rice

1 cup fresh snow peas

1/2 cup chopped broccoli

1 tablespoon tamari soy sauce

2 tablespoons oyster sauce

 

Heat the sesame and chile oils in a large saute pan. Add garlic and ginger and

saute over medium heat until garlic is golden brown.

 

Add tofu and continue to saute for 1 minute.

 

Add rice, snow peas, broccoli, tamari, and oyster sauce. Cover and simmer for 2

to 3 minutes. Serve hot.
