Guest guest Posted January 31, 2001 Report Share Posted January 31, 2001 This is real similar (maybe the same) as the one from her Whole Soy Cookbook- * Exported from MasterCook * Soy Cream Tiramisu Recipe By :Soy Desserts - Patricia Greenberg Serving Size : 9 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- Filling 1 pound firm tofu 1/3 cup sugar or light granulated cane juice 1/2 cup soy cream cheese 1 tablespoon vanilla extract Base 1/2 cup espresso or strong brewed coffee -- cool 3 tablespoons brown sugar or dark granulated cane juice 5 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder 24 ladyfinger cookies In a food processor or blender, combine the tofu, sugar, soy cream cheese, and vanilla and puree until smooth. In a separate bowl, combine the espresso, brown sugar, and 4 tablespoons of the cocoa; whisk vigorously until thoroughly combined. In an 8 x 8-inch square glass pan, layer the mixtures as follows: Line the pan with 12 ladyfingers, shingled to cover the whole surface. Pour half of the coffee mixture over the cookies, and then cover with half of the tofu mixture. Repeat the procedure and then cover and refrigerate for 4 hours. Right before serving sprinkle the remaining cocoa on top. Cut into 9 even squares. This will keep, wrapped, in the refrigerator for 4 days. Description: " I substitute tofu and soy cream cheese for the mascarpone, and the results are outstanding.
