Serving Size : 24 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Desserts Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 8 tablespoons Butter 2/3 cup Sugar 1/2 cup Sugar 1 egg 2 1/3 cups Unsifted flour 2 1/2 teaspoons Baking powder 1/2 teaspoon Salt 3/4 cup Milk 2 cups Blueberries -- =1 carton 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg Preheat oven to 375 degreees. Generously grease 12x 9x2 " pan. Beat together 4 tablespoons of the butter with 2/3 cup of the sugar in a medium bowl until light and fluffy. Add egg. Mix well. Sift together 2 cups of the flour, the baking powder and salt on to waxed paper. Add to butter mixture alternately with milk, ending with flour mixture and beating after each addition. gently stir in blueberries until throughly combined. Spoon into prepared pan. Combine remaining 4 tablespoons of butter with 1/2 cup of sugar in a small bowl. Add remaining 1/3 cup flour, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix well to form crumbly topping. Sprinkle over top of batter in pan. Bake in pre-heated 375 degree oven for 30 minutes or until wooden toothpick comes out clean. NOTE: I have had and used this recipe for years and it is both tastes great and is easy. I have made it in the winter using frozen blueberries.
