Guest guest Posted January 16, 2001 Report Share Posted January 16, 2001 * Exported from MasterCook * Linguine Puttanesca Recipe By : Nick Sundberg Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Pasta Vegetarian Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 pound linguine, cooked -- rinsed and drained 1/3 cup olive oil 3 garlic cloves -- minced 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes 2 1/2 cups tomatoes -- diced 1/2 cup pitted black olives -- coarsely chopped 2 tablespoons capers 2 tablespoons fresh basil -- chopped salt and pepper -- to taste Heat the oil in a large skillet over low heat. Add the garlic and crushed red pepper and heat for 3 minutes (DO NOT BROWN). Add the tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes. Add the olives, capers and basil and cook for 3 minutes longer.
