I enjoy strawberries with balsamic vinegar and black pepper, so I think I'd enjoy this, too. Ellen * Exported from MasterCook Mac * STRAWBERRIES AND SPICED HONEY Recipe By : Robert McGrath, Cooking Live Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Desserts Fruit Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 cup wildflower honey - (whatever is native to your region) 1 teaspoon chipotle chile powder - (cayenne can be substituted) 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice Crushed ice 6 cups ripe whole strawberries -- washed Combine the honey with the chipotle chile powder and the lemon juice. Allow to sit at room temperature for 30 minutes. Spoon the honey into small ramekins and place each ramekin in the center of a large shallow wide-rimmed soup bowl. Arrange crushed ice around the ramekins. Place the strawberries on the ice and serve.
