Mexican Chocolate

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1/3 cup Mexican or dark chocolate -- grated

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

2 tablespoons sugar -- (to 4 tbsp)

1/2 cup boiling water

1/2 cup hot milk

1/2 cup strong coffee

a little orange rind

1 tablespoon sherry

 

In a bowl over barely simmering water, melt the chocolate with the cinnamon and

sugar. When melted, whisk in the boiling water. Stir frequently for 2 minutes,

the whisk in the milk, coffee, orange rind, and sherry. Pour into small cups

and serve.
