Guest guest Posted December 31, 2000 Report Share Posted December 31, 2000 * Exported from MasterCook * Pistachio Confections Recipe By : Vegetarian Celebrations, by Nava Atlas, page 9 Serving Size : 18 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Desserts Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 1/2 cups nonfat dry milk 1/3 cup pistachio buffer 1/3 cup raisins 2 tablespoons honey 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1 dash ground nutmeg 1 dash ground ginger 1 whole shelled pistachios -- optional Makes 18 to 20 1-inch balls Combine all the ingredients but the whole pistachios in a food processor. Process until the mixture is well blended. Drizzle water in slowly until the mixture begins to hold together as a mass. Remove the mixture from the food processor with the help of a rubber spatula, then roll into balls no larger than 1 inch. Arrange on a plate lined with wax paper. If desired, press a whole pistachio into the top of each ball. Refrigerate, uncovered, for several hours.
