Cheese-Nut Pate

Country Bread

Roasted And Marinated Green Beans

With Onions And Garlic Cloves

Fresh Berries

White Wine

Save this menu for the most elegant occasion. The pate is lavishly

decorated: the soup is straight from heaven. The bread makes you feel like

you're in rural France, and the green beans lead to delusions that the

whole meal is in fact a picnic in Monet's gardens.

 

Serve with a light white wine and a simple dessert of plain fresh berries,

if they are In season

 

3 DAYS AHEAD: assemble and bake the pate / assemble the bread: refrigerate

the unbaked loaves (this can also be done 1 or 2 days ahead)

 

2 DAYS AHEAD: prepare soup, steps 1 through 4

 

1 DAY AHEAD: make Roasted and Marinated Green Beans et al. / prepare

garnishes for pate

 

SAME DAY: bake the bread / frost and decorate the pate / finish the soup

and heat gently.
