Guest guest
If you are having trouble making a decent loaf in your ABM, join ABMtalk at . I have been a member since it's inception and I made fabulous bread. My DH says that my bread is better than the bakery now. So, no excuse for doorstops. Also, I finally used my rapid cycle on my ABM the other day and I got a wonderful loaf of bread. It didn't rise as much as a normal loaf but otherwise it was terrific. Just watch the dough in the first few minutes. If it looks dry, add a touch of water. If it looks wet, add some more flour - one tsp at a time. Feel the dough. Make sure it feels like a smooth dough (like a babies bottom is what we say on the list). Anyway, the rapid cycle is ok, mainly for white breads but I wouldn't try it for whole wheat. Anything that needs extra rises, I wouldn't use it. Otherwise, a plain white loaf would be great. That is what I made. I surprised my friend when I told her I made it from beginning to end in 59 minutes. She was quite surprised and said it was terrific.
