Help, please. Does anyone have this recipe in their files? I made this

recipe this morning, and something's missing from the ingredients. I added 2

eggs to make the dough stick together, but will not bake these until

tomorrow. As written, this dough was powdery and did not adhere. Any ideas?

TIA

Want To Try

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

-------- ------------ --------------------------------

1 cup butter -- softened

1 cup granulated sugar

2 tablespoons milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract -- or rum extract *

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

3/4 cup finely chopped red and green candied cherr --

cherries

1/2 cup finely chopped pecans

3/4 cup flaked coconut

* (I use Mexican vanilla and increase to 1 Tbs)

In large bowl of electric mixer, cream butter and sugar. Add milk and

vanilla, beat well. Stir in flour, candied cherries, and pecans. Form into

one or two 2 " diameter logs. Roll logs in coconut. Wrap and chill several

hours or overnight. Preheat oven to 375F. Slice rolls about 1/4 inch thick

and place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 12 minutes or until edges

are golden brown. Makes around 4 dozen. Remember to decrease oven

temperature if using dark metal cookie sheets!

Notes: Well, this first recipe is a favorite around our house, and I

remember these from Christmas gatherings as a child. They're soooo buttery

and good!
