Goat Cheese Log Dusted With Herbs

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

-------- ------------ --------------------------------

1/4 cup finely chopped mixed herbs*

Freshly milled black pepper

11 ounces log or round of goat cheese

 

SERVES 6 TO 8

 

Present the log whole on a small platter or use the same treatment with

small rounds and logs of cheese. Serve at room temperature with bread or

crackers.

 

*Such as thyme or lemon thyme, parsley, marjoram, summer savory, and rosemary

 

Toss the herbs with several grinds of pepper. Scatter this mixture on a

cutting board and roll the cheese in it until well coated.
