Hot Buttered Rum

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1 cup brown sugar, packed

6 tablespoons butter -- room temperature

1/4 teaspoon allspice

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1 1/2 ounces dark rum

1/2 cup boiling water

 

Mix together the brown sugar, butter, allspice and cinnamon; set aside. Mix

together the rum and boiling water together.

 

For each drink: Add 1 tablespoon of the rum mixture into each coffee mug, then

top the mug off with the butter mixture.

This warm drink is great at Christmas or on any chilly winter's night.
