Combine raisins, orange juice, and powdered saffron; let stand 10 minutes. Add mixture, the 1/4 cup milk, water, vanilla, the 1/4 teaspoon almond extract, margarine or butter, egg, bread flour, sugar, salt, yeast, and mixed candied fruits and peels to the bread machine pan according to manufacturer's directions for a 1-1/2-pound loaf. Select basic white bread cycle. 2. For glaze, combine powdered sugar, the few drops almond extract, and enough milk to make drizzling consistency. Drizzle over cooled loaf. Makes 16 servings. Note: For this 1-1/2 pound loaf, the bread machine pan must have a capacity of 10 cups or more.
