Walnut Cherry Bread with Orange Zest (ABM)

3/4 cup milk

1/4 cup water

1/4 cup light corn syrup

2 tablespoons walnut oil

3 cups bread flour

1 teaspoon finely shredded orange zest

or lemon zest

3/4 teaspoon salt

1 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

or bread machine yeast

3/4 cup snipped dried tart cherries or cranberries

1/3 cup chopped walnuts -- toasted

 

 

Add the ingredients to the pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer.

Select the loaf size and the basic white bread cycle.

Orange Ginger Butter

1/2 cup orange marmalade

1/2 cup butter or margarine -- at room temperature

1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

or cider vinegar

1 tablespoon finely chopped crystalized ginger

 

In a small saucepan heat and stir orange marmalade just until melted. In a

medium bowl beat butter or margarine until fluffy. Beat in the melted marmalade,

vinegar and crystallized ginger. Cover and chill at least 1 hour before serving.
