Cherrie: This is the closest thing I could find that I have in MC. I got it

from someone on the mc-recipe list. It does call for 1 tbsp of oil. Perhaps

you could cut that down or even use something else such as " Lighter Bake " . That

might work well in whole wheat bread. I've never tried it, but you might want

to experiment a little.

Light Whole Wheat Bread

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

FOR A 1 1/2 POUND LOAF:

1 1/4 cups warm water

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

2 tablespoons honey

3/4 cup bread whole wheat flour

3/4 cup whole wheat pastry flour

1 cup bread flour

1/4 cup gluten, wheat

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 teaspoons bread machine yeast

 

Add all ingredients to bread pan in the order given. Select wheat cycle,

light/medium crust.

Per Serving (excluding unknown items): 994 Calories; 20g Fat (18.2% calories

from fat); 65g Protein; 139g Carbohydrate; 2g Dietary Fiber; 0mg Cholesterol;

1165mg Sodium. Exchanges: 7 Grain(Starch); 6 1/2 Lean Meat; 2 1/2 Fat; 2 1/2

Other Carbohydrates.
