Guest guest Posted November 27, 2000 Report Share Posted November 27, 2000 I sent tne Apple Cinnamon Sauce last week- * Exported from MasterCook * Apple Torte Recipe By :Estrogen, The Natural Way Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- Crust 2/3 cup flax seed 2/3 cup soy flour 1/3 cup chopped almonds 1/2 cup all-fruit orange marmalade Topping 2 apples -- halved, cored, and sliced thin 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 tablespoon frozen apple juice concentrate Glaze 1/4 cup all-fruit orange marmalade Preheat the oven to 350F. To prepare the crust, grind the flaxseed in an electric coffee grinder 1/3 cup at a time. Pour the ground seeds into a small mixing bowl. Add the soy flour and nuts. Stir until well combined. Mix in the marmalade to form a dough. Turn into a 9-inch nonstick or oiled torte pan. Press evenly over the bottom and up the sides. To prepare the topping, place the sliced apples, cinnamon, and apple juice concenttrate iin a mixing bowl. Toss to coat the apples. Arrange the apple slices in concentric circles, covering the crust. Bake for 30 minutes, until the crust is light brown and the apples are soft. To prepare the glaze, whisk the marmalade and apple juice concentrate together. Spoon a light layer of glaze evenly over the fruit. Serve. Description: " A crusty, nutty fruit desert. Wonderful topped with Cinnamon Sesame Sauce.
