Pita Bread Croutons

3 large whole wheat pita breads

OR white pita bread

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt

 

Makes 12 croutons.

 

Pita bread makes delicious wedge-shaped croutons when toasted and lightly

seasoned with garlic powder.

 

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Cut each round of pita bread into 4 equal

wedges. Place wedges on large nonstick baking sheet. Bake until golden

and crisp, about 12 to 15 minutes. Open each toasted wedge into 2

croutons. Dust lightly with garlic powder and salt.
